What should we name this board?
That was one of the critical questions that was bothering us for quite some time.
We wanted an element of “India” to be conveyed–as it’s a truly “Designed in India” product.
By this time, we had realised that we will be having a common brand for all our development boards, and each board will have a further sub-brand.
Since, this was board is the size of a large coin, we wanted to add the term “Coin” to its brand name.
Someone in the team suggested to search for famous coins in the history of India.
That’s when we came upon the image and mention of coins found in the Indus valley civilization.
Bingo! The name was obvious now…”Indus”. The great history–we are all proud of.
We will brand our boards as IndusBoard XYZ where XYZ will be the name of the specific board.
Hence, THIS BOARD got named as IndusBoard Coin.
